What Makes Our Cutting Boards So Special?

Every On the Bus Since™ board is handcrafted with care, precision, and a deep respect for both beauty and function. Here’s what sets ours apart:

Real Wood Inlays

Each board features intricate inlays made from contrasting hardwoods.  We never use paint, dyes, or stains. To get beautiful color combinations, we hand-select wood with a tight grain and rich colors. What you see is pure wood artistry, sealed and smoothed to perfection.

Silky Smooth Finish

Our boards are polished to a buttery-smooth surface you’ll want to run your hands over. We use a careful, multi-step sanding process that brings out the natural luster of the wood—no rough patches, no shortcuts. Just a velvety finish that feels as good as it looks.

100% Food-Safe

We never use stains or chemical finishes.  All our materials and oils are safe for food contact, so you can chop and serve with confidence. 

Thoughtful Underside Handles

We’ve carved discreet, easy-grip handles into the underside of every board. They’re hidden from view but make lifting and serving effortless.

Sleek Beveled Edge

Instead of a flat edge, our boards feature a gently beveled trim that adds a refined touch. It’s subtle, stylish, and just feels good in your hands.

Optional Non-Slip Feet

Prefer a bit more grip? Add our optional rubber feet to keep your board rock-steady during prep or display.  Choose from standard black rubber feet (free) or upgrade to elegant brass feet ($30).
